Grief & Trauma care, rooted in ancestral wisdom.

the heart of my practice:
To restore ancestral wisdom, grief literacy, and trauma healing as vital and respected components of collective care.
To offer therapy and education that honors complexity, centers the nervous system and the sacred, and brings individuals and communities back into relationship; with themselves, their stories, their ancestors, and one another.
Through a grief-informed and trauma-aware practice, I envision a world where we tend to loss with reverence, we meet pain with presence, and we build a culture that remembers: healing is cyclical, embodied, and collective.
Raven & Rose embraces clients from all walks of life, all races, ethnicities, gender and identity expressions, all spirituality & non-spirituality alike. Let me know how I can support you!
MY STORY
Hello, I’m Valenca.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, grief & trauma therapist, educator, and guide. My work is rooted in ancestral wisdom and grounded in a decolonizing, grief-informed, and trauma-aware approach to healing. I support people navigating grief, trauma, life transitions, and endings through relational and somatic care.
In addition to therapy, I offer education, consultation, and ritual work while weaving together nervous system care, storytelling, and community healing. As a death doula and life-cycle celebrant, I hold space for ceremony, meaning-making, and the sacred thresholds of life and death.
I offer this work as a way to restore connection, reclaim meaning, and help build a more grief-literate and compassionate world.
